As a mineral producer, Rana Gruber takes great responsibility for the quality, environment and safety of our people, products and services, to external and internal customers and stakeholders. Rana Gruber is committed to continuously improving processes and operating in accordance with national and international legislation and regulations, requirements and expectations from stakeholders. Rana Gruber shall use the precautionary principle in our actions when it comes to the environment.

Environment – As a sustainable, world-class mineral producer, we shall:

  • have employees who are proud, brave, confident and responsible in their environmental work.
  • ensure cleaner hematite concentrate through streamlining and upgrading production equipment
    and processes in the processing plant, which in turn contributes to reduced CO2 emissions.
  • be CO2-free through the phasing out of fossil-fuelled transport and heating.
  • increase the sorting rate to minimise the environmental footprint.
  • report according to sustainability standards (e.g. TSM).
  • digitise several of our work processes to become more efficient.
  • focus on the development of environmentally friendly processes.

Quality – As a sustainable, world-class mineral producer, we shall:

  • have employees who are proud, brave, confident and responsible in their quality work.
  • ensure long-term operation through mapping of ore resources and ore reserves.
  • ensure cleaner hematite concentrate through streamlining and upgrading production equipment and processes
    in the processing plant.
  • increase production of magnetite, through mapping and optimisation of our processes.
  • explore optimization of production of Colorana.
  • digitise several of our work processes to become more efficient.

HSE – As a world-class sustainable mineral producer, we shall: 

  • Have employees who are proud, courageous, safe, and responsible in HSE work.
  • Strive for zero harm, accidents, and loss of value for people and the company.
  • Ensure that the management understands their responsibility within HSE through proper training, competence,
    and resources to adhere to established principles.
  • Ensure good risk management in all our work processes.
  • Excel in reporting and ensure learning from unwanted incidents.
  • Actively work with prevention by increasing the number of reported observations.
  • Shall we treat internal and external employees equally
