Privacy policy

1. Introduction

The privacy statement applies to Rana Gruber AS and explains why we collect information, how we use the information and how we take your privacy into account.

Rana Gruber AS, through its CEO, is responsible for the processing of personal data. This declaration contains information we are obliged to inform you about when information is collected from our websites (Norwegian Personal Data Act § 19) and information on how we process personal data (Norwegian Personal Data Act § 18 1st paragraph).

Rana Gruber AS basis for processing personal data will vary, but will in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act § 8 ​​letter a and b consist of consent from the registered person or because it is required by law. It may be necessary to process personal data in order to fulfill an agreement or to fulfill a legal obligation.

Consent to the processing of personal data may be withdrawn at any time in accordance with GDPR Article 13 (2) letter c.

2. About personal data and the regulations

Personal data is information that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be, among other types of information, name, address, phone number, email address, IP address and behaviour history.

3. What kind of information do we collect?

In order to provide the best possible services, we depend on collecting various types of information. This is an overview of how we collect personal information and what information this is. We do not collect sensitive information.

a) Information you provide to us

When you register on our website, you must provide some information stored by us, such as name, e-mail address and mobile number. We might also store information when you contact us later.

b) Information we receive through the use of our services

When you use our services, we record information about which services you use and how you use them. We collect information about:

i) Your device and your internet connection

We register information about the device you use, for example manufacturer of mobile / PC, operating system and browser. We may also collect information about the connection to our services, such as IP addresses, network IDs, cookies and unique identification files.

ii) Use of service or purchase

We register information about your use of the services, such as which pages you are visiting, when you are visiting the pages and which functions you have used on the pages.

c) Information we receive from other sources

We may also receive information about you if you use any of the other services we offer on this website. We compile statistics and map market trends. We do this to improve and further develop our product offerings and services. As far as possible, we try to do this with anonymous information, without knowing that the information is related to you.

c) To prevent misuse of our services

We use personal information to prevent misuse of the services. Abuse can be attempts to log in to other people’s accounts, attempts at fraud, “spamming”, incitement, harassment and other acts that are prohibited under Norwegian law.

5. Sharing of information

In some cases, Rana Gruber AS shares personal information with other companies that deliver services on our behalf. This is primarily to give you a safer and better user experience. Here are the most important examples:

a) When others perform services on our behalf

For example, web and marketing agencies to run the services and carry out marketing and create campaigns. These are not allowed to use your personal information for anything other than services for Rana Gruber AS.

b) In the event of a suspicion of a crime

Information may be disclosed to authorities upon request. We will also be able to provide information in the event of suspected fraud, or information that is necessary to resolve specific disputes.

7. Deletion of personal data

We are required by law to store certain personal data. Examples of this are:

  • Act on bookkeeping
  • Order data according to right of cancellation
  • Order data with regard to. guarantees.

You have the right to delete all our information about you on request, if we are not required by law to store this. You can contact us regarding this and terminate your customer relationship via e-mail, to: post@ranagruber.no.

8. Securing personal information

We use appropriate security measures to protect personal information that is under our control to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, dissemination, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal.

9. About marketing in e-mail and SMS

If you have an active customer relationship, we can send you marketing by e-mail or with other electronic communication methods in accordance with the Marketing Act § 15. It includes newsletters and other inquiries regarding content, services, offers, promotions and events from us, via e-mail, telephone, SMS and social media.

If, on the other hand, you do not have an active customer relationship, we will only send such marketing if you have given us consent to do so. Your personal data can also be used to personalize this communication. You can at any time easily and free of charge unsubscribe from marketing inquiries through the unsubscribe function in the e-mails / SMSs.

10. Changes to the privacy statement

We may update or change this privacy statement. In the event of major changes, we will inform you.

11. Right to complain

You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, in accordance with GDPR article 13 (2) letter d.
