Board of directors

At the General Meeting of Rana Gruber ASA on April 11th, a new board of directors was elected.

The previous board consisted of Morten Støver (Chairman), Frode Nilsen, Kristian Adolfsen, Ragnhild Wiborg, and Hilde Rolandsen (all shareholder-elected) and Johan Hovind, Lasse Strøm, and Henriette Pedersen (employee representatives). Two of the board members were up for election, namely Frode Nilsen and Kristian Adolfsen. Additionally, the board was expanded with two shareholder-elected members and one employee representative, bringing the new board to a total of 11 members.

The new board is: Morten Støver (Chairman), Frode Nilsen, Ragnhild Wiborg, Hilde Rolandsen, Lars-Eric Aaro (new shareholder-elected), Ane Nordahl Carlsen (new shareholder-elected), Simon Matthew Collins (new shareholder-elected), Johan Hovind, Lasse Strøm, Henriette Pedersen, and Silje Johansen (new employee representative).

Lars-Eric Aaro is Swedish and has held numerous top positions in the Swedish mining industry, including many years as the CEO of LKAB. He has also been the Director of Sales and Marketing, Investment Director, and Research Director at LKAB. In addition, he has held various top positions at the mining company Boliden. Today, he sits on several boards in Norwegian and Swedish companies. He is educated as a mining engineer.

Simon Matthew Collins is English, residing in Switzerland, and has held several top positions in European industrial companies, including as the Director of the Metals & Minerals division at Trafigura and also as a board member of Trafigura.

Ane Nordahl Carlsen is from Bodø, holds a master’s degree in finance, and an MBA with a specialization in innovation and entrepreneurship, and currently sits on several boards of Norwegian companies, including Pioneer Property Group and Rapp Bomek.
